The Weeknd and Ariana Grande just grabbed the number one spot at the Billboard Hot 100 with a remix of their collaborative single “Die For You.”
The track jumped from number 6 last week to number one this week eventually dethroning Miley Cyrus’ 6-week reign at the top spot with "Flowers."
Billboard’s official Instagram account posted The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s recent feat.
The original “Die For You” track is part of The Weeknd’s 2016 album “Starboy.”
The track was one of the biggest songs on said album with 1.3 billion plus streams on Spotify alone.
The remix was released February 2023.
This is Grande and The Weekend’s second time to hit number one together.
The first was with the remix of “Save Your Tears” back in 2021 where they stayed at the top for 2 weeks.
“Die For You” also surged from the twenty-two spot to number one on the Streaming Songs chart.
“Die For You's” resurgence was spurred by a TikTok video.
