Murder complaints filed vs Negros Oriental Rep. Teves Jr., 5 others


Murder complaints were filed on Tuesday, March 7, before the Department of Justice (DOJ) against Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” A. Teves Jr. and five other persons for the alleged killings in 2019 of three persons, including former provincial board member Miguel Dungog.

“Nagfile ang pamilya at CIDG (The families and the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group) filed multiple murder cases against Congressman Arnolfo A. Teves for killings that were perpetrated way back in 2019,” said lawyer Levito Baligod, legal counsel of the families of the victims.

“Isa diyan si dating board member Miguel Dungog (One of the victims is former Negros Oriental provincial board member Miguel Dungog),” Baligod said.

Baligod, however, did not name the other alleged victims in the 2019 killings.  A copy of the complaint was not available.

Congressman Teves could not be reached for comment as of posting.

Baligod said the complaint against Teves utilized the testimonies of the members of the assassination team used by the congressman in the killings.

The lawyer said the complaint used the testimonies of the alleged members of the assassination group used by Teves.

He said more complaints will be filed soon.

“There were 12 murders committed during the period 2018 and 2019,” he alleged.

Aside from Teves, the complaint named as co-respondents his secretary identified only as alias “Hannah Mae” for three counts of murder; Richard Quadra, alias “Boy Quadra” for two counts; Jaspar Tanasan alias “Bobong Tanasan” for two counts; Richard Pinili alias “Inday” for two counts; and Alex Mayagma for one count.

Baligod said the three killings were committed on March 25, 2019 infront of the Silliman Medical Center in Dumaguete City; May 26, 2019 at Sitio Labungon, Barangay Nagbo-alao in Basay, Negros Oriental; and on June 23, 2019 at Barangay Malabugas, Bayawan City, also in Negros Oriental.

He did not give additional details of the alleged killings.
