By Enzo Luna

Cyclehouse Philippines will host a FREE WEBINAR with the theme "Leading to Win" on March 10, 2023. Cyclehouse is the world's FIRST and ONLY motorcycle and bike franchising company, with the most motorcycle and bike stores nationwide. Attendees can expect to be inspired and educated by experienced and world-class leaders in management, sales, and marketing. In 2020, Franchise PH has ranked Cyclehouse as the 11th Most Sought After Franchise alongside brands like McDonald’s, Red Ribbon, etc.
According to a great football coach, Vince Lombardi, “Winning is not everything but wanting to win is”. And winning also means that we are making things better for our customers and employees. At the end of the day, as leaders, we also want to make a difference the reason why we should want to have that winning mindset.
Cyclehouse began operations in July 2010 under the leadership of Jeff Chua, a former Assistant Vice President of the Philippines' largest retail company. Chua is an Entrepreneur/Talent Development Professional/Certified Executive & Life Coach who conceptualized and established the operations of Zyklus Concept Incorporated, which carries the Cyclehouse brand and now has over 60 branches nationwide.
"Back in 2009, I saw based on my personal observations that the motorcycle and bike shops back then for the “mass market” can still be improved in terms of customer service and store look. Thus in 2010, I started Cyclehouse based on the idea that we can still offer something better to the “mass market” by providing professional repair services, better store look and quality but affordable products," recalled Chua.
Cyclehouse now has the most motorcycle and bike stores in the country. Cyclehouse was named the Most Promising Franchise in 2017 by the Association of Filipino Franchisers, Inc., one of the Philippines' most respected franchise associations. Cyclehouse has been invited to expand in Vietnam and Indonesia.
Chua said that the initial intent of the Cyclehouse Leadership Summit was to assist their franchisees in operating and expanding their locations. According to Chua, successful franchisees can be distinguished from the competition by their owner's optimism, demeanor, resolve, and overall leadership in managing himself, his team, and their Cyclehouse store.
Cyclehouse, which will celebrate its 13th anniversary this year, has maintained the highest concentration of motorcycle and bike shops in the nation while growing its customer base over time. "As a way of giving back to the community, our customers and other entrepreneurs who have supported us. We have decided to open the learning event to them as well. We have been organizing this learning for the last two years," he said.
This year's Cyclehouse Leadership Summit intends to elevate attendees' leadership mindsets and abilities with the specific goal of guiding their groups and organizations to success. Dr. Dean Pax Lapid, PhD, a well-known professional speaker and best-selling author on management, business start-up, and family business expansion, will be the summit's featured speaker. Lapid will discuss the mindset required for winning leadership. Dr. Lapid will be joined on stage by several business leaders with relevant experience, including Roy Trani, a former sales director of a local and international corporation who will discuss effective sales strategies and techniques. Ms. Isabel Lacson-Ruiz, the current Marketing Director of Alaska Milk Corporation, will also be among the speakers this year. She discusses how customer insights can help you win in the marketplace. The final speaker for the learning event is the President and CEO of Cyclehouse, a leadership convenor that champions women in leadership. Chua’s topic is: “Going All Out as a Leader”.
Cyclehouse is proud to share how they distinguish themselves from other brand businesses by providing the best customer experience and incorporating the latest in technology that monitors sales and inventories in real time.
“We offer professional repair services for their peace of mind when they have their motorcycle or bike units repaired or reconditioned. We have the systems and processes in place to deliver an excellent service and also have customer engagement programs that will make us enjoy coming back to our stores. We have POS (point of sale) systems in all our stores that enables all our franchisees to monitor their sales and inventories in real time. This also enables them to know their fast moving stocks and stores database of their customers. We also offer FI (fuel injection) services for better performance and improved mileage of their motorcycle units. We are just the few motorcycle shops who offer this technology and expertise,” said Chua.
Cyclehouse's offerings and services provide a thriving franchise business with projected monthly sales of up to Php 600,000 to Php 800,000 and up with the Cyclehouse Wholesale and Retail Concept. A single retail store would cost Php 298,000, while the wholesale and retail concept would cost Php 448,000. It is an all-inclusive package that includes a POS system, brand use, outdoor and indoor signage, staff training, and initial stock.
"More than 60% of registered vehicles are motorcycles and because of the pandemic biking has skyrocketed in terms of popularity and as people become more conscious of health and wellness and a way to protect the environment. Because of the growing market of motorcycle and bike users, they have a high need for professional repair services. A store that they can trust. That is where Cyclehouse comes in as we improve the customer experience when they visit our store and our staff are well trained," said Chua.
Chua also stated that Cyclehouse is committed to promoting safe and secure guidelines for motorists and cyclists on the road, as well as to contributing to sustainability and the green environment. “Our government has taken very strong positive steps so far in protecting cyclists through the dedicated bike lanes in Metro Manila, Davao, and others. I have talked to some mayors and they have committed to continue protecting cyclists. For the motorcycles, through the years, there are laws and measures that are actively protecting this group. Part of the United Nations Development Goals is to lower carbon emissions. Increasing use most especially biking is not only good for physical and mental health of the Filipinos but also the environment. For motorcycles, taking care of their motorcycle engines will make their engines efficient in terms of fuel consumption.”
Chua is excited to share his leadership journey with all attendees of the Cyclehouse Leadership Summit "Leading to Win" via this free webinar. The summit will provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn more and gain confidence in leading their teams and businesses.
