The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has named CT/Supt. Elsa A. Alabado as the new superintendent of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City.
In a statement, BuCor said that Alabado replaced C/SInsp. Elsa M. Martorillas.
“The institution's commitment to its mission has not altered despite changes in leadership,” it said.
“In addition to carrying out the mandates of safekeeping and reforming Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), the new management will build on the successes of the former command,” it added.
During the event, the BuCor said Alabado declared that she “valued the entire CIW workforce for their above-and-beyond collaborative efforts and perseverance in carrying out their tasks, which led to substantial CIW accomplishments.”
For its part, BuCor said it will “support actively the principles and aims of the current administration and uphold a strong obligation to meet the standard corrections service.”
