I’m Juny F. Diacamos, 37 years old, single, from Centro Ranao-Pilayan, Upi, Maguindanao.

My last three jobs were as an account manager and general trade manager of two multinational companies, and branch manager of a local supermarket chain.
I am a graduate of Public Administration from Bukidnon State University, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. I was born to and raised by farmer parents and because of my ambitions to help my family, I worked and studied hard, but after 12 years of working white collar jobs that ranged from simple crew to managerial positions, I could not see any improvement on myself and my career.
It was on my mind always to have my own farm in order to have a sustainable life. In July of 2021 I bought a one hectare farmland in Upi, Maguindanao. All my savings and income went there. I planted different varieties of fruit bearing trees and coconut trees, but due to rats, not all survived.
I also planted five sacks of ginger on my farm. I know and I believe that one day, I will retire and live on my farm for good. I will make my farm a model sustainable farm, not only for the Philippines, but for the whole world, because I believe that the time will come that only those who plant will eat.
