The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will start printing the 92 million ballots for the December 2022 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan polls on Sept. 20.

Comelec Chairman George Garcia said the printing of the ballots will be held from Sept. 20 to Oct. 20 at the National Printing Office in Quezon City.
"Comelec will just continue preparing...Yesterday, Dir. (Teopisto) Elnas already presented tonus how the ballot will look like," he said in a press briefing in Manila, Thursday, Sept. 15.
The poll chief said they'll just continue preparing as there is still no law postponing the Dec. 5, 2022 BSKE.
"Until there is no law (postponing), the filing of certificate of candidacy will push through from Oct. 6 to 13. The election period and gun ban will also start Oct. 6," he said.
"So to those asking if they will still file, if by Oct. 5 there is still no law, go file on Oct. 6," added Garcia.
The poll chief already said that in the event that the BSKE is postponed, the printed ballots will not go to waste as it can still be used in the next elections.
The same, he said, goes for the other election paraphernalia such as ballpens, ballot boxes and indelible ink.
There are several bills in Congress seeking to postpone the BSKE polls to next year.
