Maguindanao plebiscite ballots all printed, says Comelec
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has finished printing the ballots for the Sept. 17 plebiscite in Maguindanao.

In a statement, Comelec Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said the printing of the more than 800,000 ballots concluded on Aug. 20 while the printing of all other forms were completed on Aug. 24.
"All printed items are now being subjected to verification by the Comelec Reception and Verification Committee," he said.
"As standard practice, deployment will be made at least five days before the plebiscite," added Laudiangco.
The printing of ballots at the National Printing Office in Quezon City started Aug. 18.
The Maguindanao plebiscite will determine whether or not the province will be divided into two Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur.
Meanwhile, the Comelec said, all printing activities for the Sept. 3 Calaca Plebiscite also concluded on Aug. 17.
