Garcia: BSKE preps at 70%

The preparations of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the December 2022 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan polls is now at 70 percent.

"More or less we are at 70%," Comelec Chairman George Garcia said in an interview Monday, August 22.

He said the printing of ballots and other election documents will be start in September.

"By October we will start shipping the election paraphernalia," said Garcia.

Last month, Comelec Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said they are on track with their preparations for the forthcoming BSKE.

"We are confident that we are on track and that we will be able to conduct the Barangay and Sangguniang Elections on Dec. 5," he said.
