They say good things don't last. The Lenovo Yoga line, however, proves that a good thing just gets better. Since its launch in 2012, its ability to assume multiple factors - can be a laptop and a tablet - has been changing the way people work, learn, play and entertain. Imagine how one device can be as flexible and versatile to appease one's needs.
Ten years have passed and now with the Lenovo Yoga 9i, the good just gets better with time. The Lenovo Yoga 9i is a 14-inch convertible laptop that delivers impeccable performance with its 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor plus Intel iris X graphics. Handling multiple tasks and enormous amounts of work is no easy feat; but with the Yoga 9i, one can easily blend in with the demands of the hybrid new normal. Want to know more why this 14-inch device prevails among all? Here's why

1. The Lenovo Yoga 9i 14-inch convertible laptop is first and foremost a thing of beauty. It exudes premium, cutting-edge design as it comes in an all aluminum, lightweight body; hence, it is sturdy, robust and easy to carry around anywhere you go.
At first glance, the device may seem similar to other laptops; but look closer and you'll see and appreciate its smooth, more refined chrome rounded edges. Since the laptop screen folds back 360 degrees, the Comfort Edge design is a plus when it comes to handling, gripping, carrying and overall maneuverability of the laptop. The device is easy to open even with one hand. The 360-hinge is stable and rigid; not at all shaky or flimsy.
2. The Lenovo Yoga 9i gives you that valuable screen real estate everyone is asking for. It features an OLED touchscreen display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This means that the screen has more vertical space and is actually taller. Very useful when scrolling through webpages and when multitasking. Text and images are clearer, colors are stunning, vibrant and vivid thanks to its 4k OLED display featuring VESA HDR certification and Dolby Vision. Great for watching videos or presenting images and documents either on laptop mode, tablet mode, tent mode or presentation mode.
3. The Lenovo Yoga 9i has excellent sound quality. Laptop speakers are most often overlooked. That is why most give off cracking, muffled, irritating sounds rather than a well-modulated one. The 360-degree rotating hinge houses the Yoga 9i's sound bar that is equipped with Bowers & Wilkins speakers with Dolby Atmos delivering arresting, dramatic, true-to-life 360 immersive surround sound. Apart from 2 tweeters placed strategically on the hinge of the laptop, there are two woofers placed on the edges of the laptop. With superb audio and video quality, now that is entertainment at its finest!
4. The Lenovo Yoga 9i has an impeccable webcam by integrating a Full HD IR hybrid webcam with privacy shutter and facial smart log in. I know it's a lot to take in; but to put it simply, when you participate in video conferences you will appear clearer and sharper unlike the usual built-in laptop webcams where images appear dark and grainy. A FHD camera features a 1080p image resolution and with higher resolution cameras, images appear crisp and clear; hence, better image quality.
Another cool feature that the Yoga 9i webcam has is the background blur feature which I most often use. I'm pretty sure a lot would find this useful. To top it off, enabling this feature is so easy. No need to fumble through camera settings or series of command keys. Simply enable this feature with just a click of a button on the keyboard and that's it!
5. Functionality is key. At first glance, you'd think that the keypad is pretty typical. Look again and you'll notice that the whole keyboard runs from edge-to-edge. The keys are soft to touch with absolutely no wobble. On the right hand edge of the keyboard are the 1-click functions keys that I find truly practical, purposeful and convenient. These are the keys for frequently used features. These features are the Smart Power key to control power for energy efficiency (i.e. high performance battery of if you want to save power and extend battery life), the Background Blur key, which I use pretty often whenever I attend virtual meetings and events, the Vibe check key to select sound for movie, music or game, the Color Mode key that lets you choose between dark or light mode. Of course, dark mode assists in extending battery life and reducing eye strain. And lastly is the fingerprint reader. Noticeable too is the evidently spacious glass trackpad that is smooth to glide on and responsive to touch.
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga 9i is a mighty piece of convertible that does its job significantly well. All of its contemporaries may be good; but having tried this device, I say this one is a cut above the rest.
