PBBM can lead PH to new heights—Angara

Senator Sonny Angara on Thursday, June 30 said he is optimistic that the new administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will lead the Philippines to new heights despite the current challenges it is facing.

“We are confident that our new President Marcos will lead the country to new heights,” Angara said in a statement.

“With the votes of over 31 million Filipinos behind him, President Bongbong can be assured of the support of a strong majority of the country for his policies and programs, many of which have been laid out in the past weeks,” the senator said.

Moreover, he said Marcos Jr. has chosen a strong economic team that would build on the gains of the Duterte administration and steer the economy towards recovery.

Angara also said that in taking on the agriculture portfolio, President Marcos has also demonstrated his commitment towards addressing the numerous problems of the sector.

In increasing the yields of the country’s farmers and fisherfolk, the lawmaker said the goal of food security for all Filipinos can be achieved.

“We look forward to working with President Marcos and his administration, as well as with his equally competent Vice President Sara Duterte. Together with the entire nation, we pray for the success of the Marcos administration,” he said.
