Marcos caps busy week with more courtesy calls from foreign envoys

President-elect Bongbong Marcos will end his week by hosting another series of courtesy calls from foreign envoys, mostly from Europe.

At least five ambassadors will meet the Filipino leader at the BBM headquarters in Mandaluyong City Friday morning, June 10.

The Marcos camp identified them as Ambassador Gustavo Gonzales, United Nations (UN) Representative to the Philippines; Ambassador Annika Thunborg of Sweden; Ambassador Charles Brown of the Holy See; Ambassador William Carlos of Ireland; and Ambassador Alain Gaschen of the Swiss Confederation.

The meetings will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Last Tuesday, ambassadors from Spain, Germany, and Morocco carried out courtesy calls to the incoming Philippine president at the same venue.

On Thursday, Marcos met with United States (US) Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman.
