Comelec reports 31.05% overseas voter turnout as of May 8

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) reported a 31.05 percent or 526,972 voter turnout in the overseas voting as of Sunday, May 8.

The figure nearly ties with the 32 percent voter turnout in the 2016 polls.

Data from the poll body showed that the more than 500,000 votes came from the North and Latin Americas Region 94,395 Asia Pacific 178,656, Europe 51,792, and Middle East/Africa 202,129.

There are 1.6 million registered overseas voters in the May 2022 polls.

The overseas voting period is from April 10, 2022 to May 9, 2022.
