Sara names her 'greatest asset' as country's potential VP

For vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, her "greatest asset" is neither has to do with smarts nor skills.

It's what's she calls "tibay ng puso", or literally, the resilience of her heart.

"What do you think would be your greatest character or value or asset or asset that would make you the best vice president the Philippines will ever have, modesty aside?" Senator Francis Tolentino asked the lady mayor, who was the guest on Net 25's Sa Ganang Mamamayan program Monday morning, May 2.

"I would not say na I will be the best vice president that our country will ever have, we will let history be the judge of that," replied Duterte, chairperson of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) party.

"Pero yung nasa akin po talaga, at lagi kong sinasabi na sa ating lahat, sen, is yung tibay ng puso ko bilang Pilipino (But for me, and like what I always tell everyone, sen, is that I have the resilience of the heart of a Filipino)," she said.

"Matibay talaga ang puso ko, sen (My heart is really resilient, sen). I'm not the best, I'm not the brightest, I'm not the most brilliant candidate out there. Pero kung may ipapagawa ka sa akin (But if you're going to give me a task), I will move mountains para ma-deliver yan sa iyo (in order to deliver it to you)," Duterte further said.

"So yan po yung nasa akin and of course nasa ating lahat mga Pilipino (So that's what I have and of course every Filipino has that)," the UniTeam vice presidential bet noted.

Duterte is the running mate of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Bongbong Marcos. The two survey frontrunners comprise the UniTeam alliance.

Tolentino, who served as anchor during program, is himself a former local chief executive like Duterte.

Another senator, Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, said during a UniTeam sortie last month that Duterte, should she win in the upcoming May 9 polls, won't act like the current vice president.
