Torn between two mothers.

It was a tough week, last week. I had to deal with my two mothers in showbiz, Nay Lolit Solis and Nay Cristy Fermin and our digital talk show, "Take It Per Minute Meganon." (ang mga lola nyo!)

It all started when our Executive Producer informed us before our live show, that it would be our last airing. She said it was the directive of the Sales Department. When the Big Boss learned about it, he immediately gave an instruction not to cancel the show. He explained that he was not informed by the Sales Directive and he reprimanded the department. But Nay Cristy got offended by the sudden announcement and decided to resign from the show the next day. She wanted to continue with the show on a Youtube Channel, but with a different producer. She found one and we agreed to be with the new producer. (mabilis pa sa alas kwatro ang mga pangyayari!)

But things changed when the Big Boss talked to each one of us. Nay Lolit decided to follow the instruction of the Boss because of her good relationship with the family of the Boss for decades. Nay Cristy, on the other hand, did not want to stay anymore. On my part, I could not decide. (so pwede bang mamili sa dalawang nanay?!)

Nay Cristy wanted me to be with her in the YouTube Channel to be launched soon. All these years, I never say no to her because she has been very supportive of my career since I started. But I wanted to save the show  (at yung triumvirate namin!)

My first move was to convince her to stay in our show and  have her separate solo show on YouTube. She declined. My second proposal was I would join Nay Lolit in our digital show and I would also join her in her new YouTube show since they have different formats. She just said, “Kung gusto mo mag-stay (kay Manay Lolit), okey lang. Labyunak!” It was followed by our usual “nanay-anak” conversation. (yung walang katapusang loveyounay at labyunak sa ending ng bawat text message!)

I stayed with Nay Lolit in our show. Nay Cristy has uploaded her very first YouTube episode with two new co-hosts. I thought everything was ok, but apparently not.  We may have decided to take on different paths and are moving on with our lives. I know that things will get better at the right time. (pwede kaya mamaya o bukas?!)
