Keanu Reeves is Batman in upcoming animated DC film

No, it’s not the Matrix trying to hoodwink you, Keanu Reeves is really going to portray The Batman.

Well, at least, vocally.

He is voicing the caped crusader in the upcoming animated movie "DC League Of Super-Pets."

The trailer of the movie as produced by Warner Bros. recently dropped with the unmistakable voice of Reeves as The Batman being heard loud and clear.

The character is seen in the trailer sharing screen time with the canine Ace, voiced by actor-comedian Kevin Hart.

The scene, which begins with The Batman’s astute observation of “So, you are a dog...I am The Batman,” sees the cartoon Dark Knight and Ace on an apparent stake out.

There, the Bat (Reeves) goes on his usual “I work alone” monologue (except when he's getting assistance from Robin, Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, the IT crew he's working with). Ace (Hart) echoes the same sentiments and as Batman recites the dark beginnings of his story, the steely Ace likewise shares his and no surprise there, has a similar history with The Bat (“as a puppy I was taken from my family”). And upon realizing they share similar backstories, Ace drops all serious pretense and gives in to his doggie instincts and jumps on The Batman and gives him a proper licking.

"DC League of Super-Pets" also stars Dwayne Johnson as Krypto, the Man Of Steel’s super-powered dog. John Krasinski is the voice of Superman, while Marc Maron is behind the voice of Lex Luthor.

Batman and Superman will have to “work alongside a rag-tag group of shelter animals who have been given special powers. Together they have to rescue the human Justice League from the clutches of Lex Luthor,” Empire writes.

"DC League of Super-Pets" also includes Natahsa Lyonne, Kate McKinnon, Diego Luna, Vanessa Bayer, Thomas Middleditch and Ben Schwartz, and is due in theaters this May.
