Folk and rock supergroup Crosby, Stills and Nash are the latest high-profile music act to stand with Neil Young.

David Crosby, Graham Nash and Stephen Stills gave a rare group statement recently, voicing their support for one time bandmate Neil Young.

The rock and roll Hall of Famers “are asking their labels to remove the CSN catalog from Spotify along with their solo work,” Rolling Stone reports.

The group statement read: “We support Neil, and we agree with him that there is dangerous disinformation being aired on Spotify’s Joe Rogan podcast.”

The statement added, “While we always value alternate points of view, knowingly spreading disinformation during this global pandemic has deadly consequences. Until real action is taken to show that a concern for humanity must be balanced with commerce, we don’t want our music – or the music we made together – to be on the same platform.”

The group doesn’t want to be on the same platform as the Joe Rogan Experience, the popular but now controversial podcast that is exclusively accessible on Spotify.

It remains to be seen though whether they can get their catalog out of said streaming platform.

While Graham Nash “began the process of taking his music off Spotify earlier this week,” David Crosby’s publishing was sold by the singer earlier last year, therefore the decision is not his to make. The group is hoping that those who own and manage their individual catalog and that of CSN and CSN&Y would grant them their request.

Rolling Stone noted that this is the first time in a long time that the group collectively agreed on something since “they dissolved the group back in 2015 after a bitter dispute.”
