Manila Bulletin is Most Outstanding Broadsheet at 4th Gawad Lasallianeta

Manila Bulletin, the nation's leading newspaper, continues to receive recognition on its various platforms after it was named the Most Outstanding Broadsheet at the De La Salle Araneta University’s 4th Gawad Lasallianeta Awards.

The Gawad Lasallianeta Award was given to the Manila Bulletin during a live-streamed presentation via the official Facebook pages of De La Salle Araneta University and Gawad Lasallianeta last Feb. 2.

Herminio "Sonny" B. Coloma Jr., publisher of the Manila Bulletin, accepted the award for the major daily.

The Manila Bulletin - Most Outstanding Broadsheet

In his virtual acceptance speech, Coloma thanked and lauded the organizers of the award-giving body for the recognition. His full speech:

"To all the members of the De La Salle Araneta University Community

"I am Sonny Coloma, Publisher of the Manila Bulletin.

"On behalf of the men and women of the Manila Bulletin, I wish to thank you for giving us recognition as the Most Outstanding Broadsheet in your 4th Gawad LaSallianeta 2022.

"This is a timely recognition as Manila Bulletin observed its 122nd anniversary on the second of February.

"May I also take this opportunity to congratulate all of you as you celebrate the 76th anniversary of your University.

"I also commend your University for promoting digital transformation. This is clearly the way forward for building a better future past the challenges of the current pandemic.

"We at the Manila Bulletin are prepared to partner with De La Salle Araneta University in initiatives that will inform, inspire and empower the Filipino people.

"Mabuhay ang De La Salle Araneta University!

"Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat!"

The Gawad Lasallianeta is an awarding ceremony that acknowledges the country's most effective, influential, and outstanding communicators in the field of Mass Media.

Winners in this year's edition include ABS-CBN, Mike Enriquez, Jessica Soho, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Vice Ganda, Karen Davila, Boy Abunda, Catriona Gray, Noli De Castro, Jodi Sta. Maria, Alex Gonzaga, Toni Gonzaga, Paolo Avelino, Alessandra de Rossi, Ben&Ben, Arjo Atayde, Jollibee, McDonald's, CongTV, Basel Manadil, Wish 107.5, Pepito Manaloto, He's Into Her, DzMM Radyo Patrol 630, etc.
