Sarah Geronimo is Spotify's Top Equal PH artist of 2022

Multi-hyphenate artist Sarah Geronimo was recently recognized by Spotify as one of the top music acts of the year.

The popular streaming platform tagged the country’s Popstar Royalty as a “Top Equal Philippines Artist of Spotify” for 2022.

“Equal” is a popular playlist on Spotify that focuses on female music acts. The Equal playlist is a worldwide campaign of Spotify “celebrating and empowering women’s music and women in the industry.”

Meanwhile, Equal Philippines is the localized version of the playlist that exclusively focuses on local female acts. SG was recently on the cover of said playlist.

Sarah Geronimo’s image also recently graced Spotify’s Equal billboard of New York’s Times Square.

It was Sarah Geronimo’s first time to be featured on said billboard that has previously featured other female Pinoy music acts.

Sarah Geronimo’s inclusion on the Equal playlist comes on the strength of a handful of music singles that SG recently released since October of this year, that includes “Cuore” and “Dati Dati.”

Sarah Geronimo’s first performance of “Dati Dati” was on long running Sunday variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” a fortnight ago, and again just recently at a rare appearance on ABS-CBN’s “Showtime.”
