After more than three decades in the industry, Piolo Pascual remains the actor to beat among producers and casting directors.

The veteran actor announced during a recent Beautederm media event his current and forthcoming work load, which we could only describe as swirling.

Piolo said he had two or three days left to finish Moro, a movie with Brillante Mendoza.

The film also features Baron Geisler, Laurice Guillen, Christopher de Leon, Beauty Gonzalez, Felix Roco, Ina Feleo, Joel Torre.

After Moro, he’s signed up for three other films, to be shot in early 2023.

On the actor’s timetable are a film with director Irene Villamor, opposite Bianca Umali.

He’s also doing one with Thop Nazareno.

Plus a series for Netflix in cooperation with ABS-CBN.

Sometime next year, Piolo may realize his dream to return to stage. He’s considering an offer to play the key role in Kanser, The Musical.

“I really wanna do this show. When I was in high school, I saw this as a straight play at FEU.”

Piolo is also doing a concert tour with Jericho Rosales in Canada and the US this November, a total of six to eight shows.

He has also finished a movie with Jasmine Curtis for director Paul Soriano. The film, he says, has some hot, steamy scenes, not necessarily for adults only.

Loyalty is never lost on Piolo Pascual, who wrote quite a touching post recently on Facebook as he renewed his contract with ABS-CBN.

Amidst rumors of studio transfer in the wake of this pandemic and his mother studio’s lack of franchise to operate, the veteran actor chose to remain a kapamilya.

He has just wrapped for the network the Filipino adaptation of Koreanovella, Flower of Evil.

On Facebook, Piolo said he was merely returning the favor to ABS-CBN, which he said, “took care of me for so long.’’

It is time, he said, to serve them in time of need.

‘’I am happy to be home again, though I never left.

“Today,” he said, “is the best time to show the network one’s loyalty.’’

‘’Ito ang bahay ko, there is no reason to leave.’’

He said he was delighted to be welcomed by his bosses, “my family.’’ Here lies part of Piolo’s longevity as an actor, anchored on two virtues, loyalty and humility.
