
Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) have arrested six persons and rescued 36 women from two establishments allegedly engaged in sex trafficking in Bocaue, Bulacan
The NBI identified those arrested from the Pisces Health Spa Massage as Jomar Pagadora and Risa Cordova, while those from Dumagat Grill Resto Bar were named as Glenda Lising, Edna Oscares, Belen Florin, and Kit April Rose Morales.
It said the operations were conducted by its Bulacan District Office (NBI-BULDO) based on verified information received.
“Acting on the said information, NBI-BULDO conducted a surveillance operation to verify the veracity of the operation and subsequently planned an entrapment operation to apprehend the persons behind this unlawful activity,” it said.
It also said that those arrested were charged with violations of Republic Act No. 9208, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended by RA 11862, the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.
