BAGUIO CITY – Twelve local government units in the Cordillera region bagged the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) award from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for upholding the standard of transparency, integrity, and service delivery.

The SGLG, also known as "Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Lokal," is awarded annually to deserving provinces, cities, and municipalities that perform well in ten governance areas – financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection and sensitivity, health compliance and responsiveness, sustainable education, business-friendliness and competitiveness, safety, peace, and order, environmental management, tourism, heritage development, culture and arts, and youth development.

“We congratulate 12 Cordillera LGUs that have made it to the list of this year's passers for the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG). This demonstrates our LGUs' unwavering effort to pass all of the core and essential criteria for the coveted award," DILG Regional Director Araceli San Jose said.
