Talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers test positive for COVID-19

As news of the latest surge in infections brought about by the Omicron variant fills the news, even entertainment TV isn’t spared from it.
Popular evening show hosts Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers announced recently that they tested positive for COVID-19.
The NBC late-night hosts took to their socials to let their viewers know that they contracted the virus.
Both mentioned that “they were boostered and symptoms were therefore mild,” Rolling Stone reports.
The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon announced last Monday that he contracted Covid over the holidays. “Hey guys, on the first day of our holiday break, I tested positive for Covid. I was vaccinated and boostered which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms,” Fallon wrote on his Instagram.
The host added, “Thank you to the doctors and nurses who work so hard around the clock to get everyone vaxxed.”
He also joked, “Thank you to NBC for taking the testing protocols so seriously and doing a great job – and also thanks for putting me in the ‘What’chu talkin’ about Willis?’ isolation room when they told me the news.”
Last Tuesday, the host of the Late Night With Seth Meyers wrote on Twitter: “The bad news is, I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!) the good news is, I feel fine (thanks vaccines and booster!)”
Meyers went on to say that the rest of the tapings for Late Night are canceled. “We are canceling the rest of the shows this week, so tune in next Monday to see what cool location we will try and pass off as a studio!!!” Meyer said in jest.
