Superhero flicks and movie titles to watch out for in 2022

Here’s a list of some exciting movies to watch out for in 2022.
Wes Craven’s “Scream” is back. 25 years since the original, Neve Campbell returns as Sydney Prescott, as do David Arquette and Courtney Cox. “Scream” also stars Melissa Barrera, Jack Quaid and Dylan Minnette. Coming this January.
Tom Holland is cast to play Nathan Drake, treasure-hunter from the video game “Uncharted.” Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas also stars and Ruben Fleischer directs.
It remains to be seen whether “The Batman” will get over fans’ apprehensions over the casting of Robert Pattinson as young, brooding Bruce Wayne. Whether it works or not, you can be sure that fans of The Bat won’t miss this latest version of the Dark Knight. Directed by Mark Reeves, Zoe Kravitz stars as Selina Kyle-The Catwoman, with Colin Farrell, Paul Dano and the excellent Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.
Sandra Bullock stars as a romance novelist in “The Lost City.” Channing Tatum plays the hunky blonde model used on her book covers who thinks he can be a real hero and Daniel Radcliffe is the billionaire who thinks Bullock’s book holds the key to finding the real Lost City. Brad Pitt appears as a real blonde adventurer who saves the day.
“Morbius” from Marvel starring Jared Leto is set for April 1.
“The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” features Nicolas Cage, who stars as himself in said film. Kidnapped by a deranged fan who forces him to enact his most memorable roles, the movie also stars Pedro Pascal, Neil Patrick Harris, Ike Barrinholtz and Tiffany Haddish.
Guillermo del Toro’s “Pinocchio” features an excellent cast that includes Ewan McGregor. Tilda Swinton, Ron Perlman, Cate Blanchett and Christoph Waltz.
On “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness,” all focus will be on Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme. Wanda Maximoff played by Elizabeth Olsen also stars.
“Top Gun: Maverick” is the sequel of the 1986 hit that stars Tom Cruise as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Miles Teller is Bradley Bradshaw, son of Maverick’s late partner Goose. Ed Harris, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connely, Glen Powell and Manny Jacinto completes the cast.
In “Jurassic: World Dominion,” the flick brings together original casts Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and the most recent leads Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas. The film is set for June 10.
Also in June is “Lightyear,” the first solo film of Buzz Lightyear. Doing lead voice is none other than Chris Evans.
New installments for “Thor: Love and Thunder” brings back Chris Hemsworth in the title role. Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, is set to wield the power of the Thunder God. The cast of Guardians of The Galaxy is also set to appear, as do Tess Thompson’s Valkyrie. Directed by Taika Waitititi.
“Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse (Part One)” animated movie is set for October, and it focuses on the adventures of Miles Morales. Prepare for more of the multiverse.
November will bring “The Flash” starring Ezra Miller. The movie’s premise is based on the popular “Flashpoint” storyline. The film will bring back Michael Keaton as another version of The Batman, and if rumors are true, this will be Ben Affleck’s last incursion in the DCEU as The Batman. Speaking of DC, watch out for the Shazam/Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) movie and The Aquaman sequel featuring Jason Momoa.
The “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” sequel is also set for November. The film is said to be focused on T’Challa’s sister Shuri played by Letitia Wright. The movie will bring back the original cast, minus the great Chad Bosewick.
