The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) needs agents for deployment in its offices nationwide, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin C. Remulla said on Monday, Sept. 12.
“Kailangan natin ng tapat, may puso at pagmamahal sa bayan (We need persons who are honest, and have heart and love for country),” Remulla said in his Facebook post.
He said that applicants, who must pass the competitive mental and physical examinations of the NBI, must be willing to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines.
Qualified to be NBI agents are Filipino citizens who have good moral character and with excellent physical and mental conditions, he said.
They must also have normal eye vision, have no tattoos and pierced ears, must be between 25 to 35 years old, and are at least five feet and five inches in height for males and at least five feet and three inches for females, he also said.
The applicants should either be a lawyer or a holder of baccalaureate degree who passed the necessary government licensure examination relevant to the investigative functions of the NBI, and must have a general weighted average of 85 percent in their transcript of records, he added.
At the same time, Remulla said those who been convicted of any crime or have pending criminal, civil or administrative charges need not apply.
