Comelec hopes for peaceful, orderly Maguindanao plebiscite
The ballots and other forms that will be used for the Sept. 17 Maguindanao plebiscite are already en route to Buluan.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco revealed this in an interview on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
He said the printing of the more than 800,000 ballots was completed last Aug. 20. The printing of other forms was completed on Aug. 24.
As for security, Laudiangco said, the 6th Infantry Brigade and Police Provincial Office Maguindanao so far reported "no untoward incidents."
"We are hoping for this peaceful and orderly situation to prevail until the completion of the electoral exercise, as the Comelec, together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police solidify its Joint Plebiscite Security Plan," he said.
The Maguindanao plebiscite will determine whether or not the province will be divided into two Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur.
