WTFu by MR. FU: From TikTok videos to BL series

Up-and-coming actor Anthony Flores really wanted to be an electrical engineer, but he felt that showbiz has something in store for him. (ay may ibibigay ako sa'yo bro!)

“Sa school kasi namin, parang may vocational course na. may furniture making, electronics, IT, nagustuhan ko yung electrical ewan ko lang kung bakit basta naging interesado ako. Natapos ko yung sa K-12 pero di ko natapos yung electrical engineering lalo na ngayon na nagsisimula nako sa acting,” Anthony shares (simulant na natin kwento natin bro!)

His first taste of the entertainment world was when he won Man of the Philippines in 2018. “Nung nadiscover kasi ako, sabi my potential daw ako. Ako kasi tina-try ko muna ang isang bagay bago ko masabing gusto ko. Parang sa pagkain, Kailangan ko munang matikman bago masabing gusto ko talaga.“ (ay ako sure ako gusto kita bro!)

It was his Tiktok videos that gave him the opportunity to be with actors Arnold Reyes and Rex Lantano in the BL series: “Papa What is Love?”. (papa… papa can you hear me?!)

“Si Toni Co, napansin nya yung tiktok ko. Sabi nya baka pwede rin akong umacting. Sabi ko siguro it’s about time na itry ko . Marami rin nagsasabing subukan ko raw. Siempre nung una di ako sigurado kung kaya ko ba. Pero mukhang nagustuhan naman nila ako nung screen test kaya nakuha ko rin yung role,” Anthony says (gumana ang pagiling giling mo sa tiktok!)

In his guesting on our digital show, WTFu, he mentioned about his experience as a newbie actor:

MF: sabi nila daring ka raw rito.

AF:  hindi naman gaano.

MF:  hindi naman gaaano? Eh nagpikita ka raw ng pwet!

AF: (laughs) ah.. oo! Mga lines, mga oblique line, bikini line

MF: ang daming lines ha! ipakita mo sakin yan mga yan!

AF: kung san ka sasaya MR.FU!

The 22-year-old Pampangueno also admitted in our interview that because of his sexy exposure online, gay netizens would give him tempting offers. (ay tatapatan ko yan!)

“Marami nagmemessage sakin. Meron isa sabi nya,  Boss idol, ano raw diet at workout ko. Sabi nya, patulong naman. Binigyan ko naman sya ng diet at workout plan. Tapos bigla sabi nya pwede ko raw ba sya pabigyan. Akala ko sasabay lang sya sakin maggym. Yun pala iba gusto.  Sabi ko di ako pwede sa ganyan. Sabi pa nya bigyan ako ng 20K. Sabi ko di talaga, “Anthony recalls. (ay tamang tama, papunta akong bangko. Chos!)

Anthony hopes to have a career in the film industry even if it will mean doing more daring roles. “Ang hindi ko lang kaya sa ngayon, yung frontal nudity. Siguro hindi pa sa ngayon. Siguro mga pa-side muna. Yung mga pa-aninag muna.“ (ay haharap ako sayo bro! At magdadala ng flashlight!)
