The votes are in!
As the rest of the world is opening its borders to tourists, international publications are also doing their best to introduce food and leisure spots, both old and new, to invite readers to discover the world again. One of the many magazines doing it is Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia. One of its recent online features puts the spotlight on the Philippines and its many beautiful destinations and must-visit places, all voted for its ever Asia’s Best Awards 2022.
Also part of its travel guide is a list of the best food spots in the country. Dominating the list is homegrown restaurant Wildflour Café + Bakery. Established in 2012, the restaurant quickly became a favorite among Filipino diners for its delicious food, good service, and warm ambiance, which allowed it to produce over 15 branch locations and five main restaurants in Metro Manila.
“It’s a destination we didn’t think was possible given the state of restaurants in the last two years,” the restaurant posted on Instagram. “But we’re thankful to the voters at T&L who’ve watched us keep going. And we’re eternally grateful to all you diners who’ve been along for this wild ride for the past 10 years. The highs and lows have been tremendous, but this only reminds us of one thing: we’ve still got places to go.”
Joining it on the list are Gallery by Chele in the second spot, followed by Toyo Eatery, Wagyu Studio, and La Picara. Completing the top 10 list are Hapag (sixth), Le Petit Cafe Fleur (seventh) M Dining (eighth), Mantra (ninth), and Mecha Uma (10th).
