Here’s what to expect from Café Kitsuné’s first store in the Philippines

A year after the announcement of its coming, Café Kitsuné is finally ready to open its first store in the Philippines this July.

Loved for its Parisian and Japanese aesthetic, the café was first launched in 2013 and is the specialty coffee retailer of French-Japanese fashion brand and music label Kitsuné. Founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki translate their fashion label’s ethos—comfort, simplicity, and sophistication—into a unique dining experience through the café.

After opening its first store in Tokyo, Café Kitsuné has been seen in various metropolitan cities in the world, including Paris, Seoul, New York, Shanghai, Jakarta, Bangkok, and now the Philippines.

Café Kitsuné Manila is located at The Podium in Ortigas Center in Mandaluyong City and is slated to be launched this July. As expected, it will showcase the Paris-meets-Tokyo atmosphere and aesthetic the brand has been known for.

Apart from its chic interior, the café is set to bring its signature brew to the country, using single-origin coffee beans in Brazil and Guatemala. These beans are roasted to perfection, allowing the café to serve nothing but the best cup of espresso, cappuccino, cold brew, or nitro—smooth and syrupy, with hints of cherry and chocolate—with the help of its team of passionate baristas.

As for the eats, Café Kitsuné Manila has prepared a special menu with local chefs leading its kitchen. Its menu includes diner favorites like its signature burger, styled as a beef teriyaki tartare with bacon, fried egg, and comté; and the croque-monsieur with tuna, lemongrass, ginger, and the café’s specialty bechamel sauce.

The café is also promising to be a heaven for sweet-toothed Filipinos with its special dessert menu. From mochi made with seasonal fruits to a carpaccio served with Sichuan pepper and Thai basilic syrup, Café Kitsuné Manila will definitely be a hotspot for truly delectable confectionery creations.

Lastly, Manila customers can also expect Café Kitsuné to carry its collection of accessories and tableware in the local store.
