This was announced by Press Secretary-designate Trixie Cruz-Angeles during a press briefing last Monday, May 30.

Frasco, 40, is the spokesperson of fellow lawyer, Vice President-elect Sara Duterte, who served as Marcos's running mate in the May 9 polls, which the UniTeam tandem dominated.

She currently belongs to the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), which Duterte chairs.

Frasco, the daughter of Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, is a two-termer mayor of Liloan, a first income class municipality in Metro Cebu. She won a third term in the elections earlier this month, after which she was nominated by Marcos for the DOT post.

According to Wikipedia, Frasco was awarded the prestigious Presidential Lingkod Bayan Regional Award by the Civil Service Commission in its 2021 Search for Outstanding Government Workers for her exemplary performance as a local chief executive.

This is due to her "proactive initiatives toward innovation in governance and sustainable and inclusive programs fostering excellence in government service".

Such award is conferred upon an individual "for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from performance that had nationwide impact on public interest, security, and patrimony".

In 2019, Frasco was elected as president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)–Cebu Chapter and as National Vice President of LMP.
