Christina Aguilera honors roots with new singles, EP and album

Christina Aguilera just dropped a new EP.

“LA TORMENTA” (“The Storm”) was made available May 31.

Prior, the former “The Voice” coach and early aughts popstar released the EP "LA FUERZA" (“The Strength”), her first EP in Spanish in the last 20 years.

The new EP came with a new featured single called “Suéltame,” which is described as “a new and sensual" collaboration with Argentine pop star TINI.

It is a busy time of releases for the singer, who also released a full album version of both EP’s titled “AGUILERA.”

A new version of the popular ranchera song “Cuando Me Dé La Gana” is also out and it sees the “Genie In A Bottle” star singing with Mexican singer Christian Nodal.

The self-titled “AGUILERA” is “a direct way of honoring her Latina roots and family heritage which are the source of pride and inspiration (of) much of her new music” her label said.

The new sets of releases also highlight Christina’s collaboration with several talented Latino musical talents that include composer-producers Rafa Arcaute and Federico Vindver and international acts such as TINI, Ozuna, Becky G, Nicki Nicole and Nathy Peluso.  

All songs on aforementioned releases are sung in Spanish by Christina.
