“The appointments give us confidence that the Filipino people will be in good hands. This is a Cabinet that will help our President-elect fulfill his promises to our countrymen and address whatever challenge may lie ahead,” Vargas said on Sunday, May 29.

“Having known and worked with most of them in Congress and in my advocacies, I know that the incoming Cabinet will be an excellent and credible team composed of men and women who are forward-looking, pro-active, and competent,” Vargas continued.

The solon also filed a House Resolution further expressing support for the Marcos Cabinet picks.

“Despite the challenges ahead, this Representation expresses full optimism that the President-elect and his Cabinet will be able to lead and steward the nation towards prosperity and handle the country’s socioeconomic recovery with decisive actions and a clear vision,” read the resolution.

“This Representation recognizes that the President-elect, his Cabinet, and his whole Administration will be taking on the critical challenge of steering the country towards full socioeconomic recovery, following the unprecedented damage caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in terms of adverse commercial outcomes and human suffering,” it continued.
