Ynares siblings in Rizal election sweep

Siblings Nina Ricci Ynares-Chiongbian and Casimiro "Junjun" Ynares III were proclaimed governor of Rizal province and mayor of Antipolo City, respectively.

Ynares-Chiongbian is the eldest child of former Rizal Governors Rebecca "Nini" Ynares and Casimiro Ynares Jr. while Ynares III is their only son.

Ynares-Chiongbian, who ran under the name Nina Ynares, was proclaimed by the provincial board of canvassers led by Rizal election supervisor Atty. Mitzele Veron Morales-Castro.

In Antipolo City, Ynares III was proclaimed as the newly-elected mayor of Rizal Province’s lone city, Antipolo, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, by the city board of canvassers led by Commission on Election provincial supervisor Atty. Mitzele Veron Morales-Castro at the Ynares Center.

Ynares III takes over the position from his wife, Andrea. He was the city mayor from 2013 until 2019. He was also the governor from 2007 until 2013.
