LAV ballots received by Comelec nearly 74K


The number of local absentee voting accomplished ballots received by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has reached nearly more than 74,000.

The partial report of the Comelec showed that as of May 8, the number of LAV accomplished ballots received by the Reception and Custody Units was already at 73,982.

These are from the Philippine Army (24,249), Philippine Air Force (2,775), Philippine Navy (319), Philippine National Police (41,431), DepEd (2,289), BJMP (750), BFP (122), Media (876), Comelec (914), DILG (22), PCG (222), DFA(1), Public Attorney's Office(2), Culion Hospital (1), and National Power Corporation (9).

The Comelec earlier set local absentee voting for the May 2022 polls from April 27 to 29.

The Comelec already briefed the Special Electoral Boards, who will count the LAV ballots, in Intramuros, Manila, May 6.

The LAV ballots will be counted on May 9.
