Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo and Antique Rep. Loren Legarda took the top spots in the latest Manila Bulletin-Tangere pre-election senatorial survey results released on Wednesday, April 6.
The survey was conducted from March 29 to April 1, 2022, through Tangere’s mobile app, and had 2,400 respondents.
Tulfo and Legarda led the senatorial picks of Filipino voters with 64.63 percent and 63 percent, respectively.
They were followed by Sorsogon Gov. Francis Escudero (59.17 percent), Senator Sherwin Gatchalian (51.42 percent), former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar (48.88 percent), Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano (48.46 percent), and Senator Joel Villanueva (48.33 percent).
Finding themselves in the bottom half of those with a statistical chance of winning in the senatorial election were Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri (45.38 percent), actor Robin Padilla (40.33 percent), Senator Risa Hontiveros (35.83 percent), former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista (35.21 percent), and former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque (34.50 percent).
In 13th to 15th places were former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro (33.21 percent), former Philippine National Police chief Guillermo Eleazar (29.13 percent), and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (27.46 percent).
