260 PDLs in Davao Prison get Covid booster shots

A total of 260 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) in Davao del Norte got their booster shots against Covid-19 last March 29.

In a statement, DPPF said the booster shots given to the PDLs were part of the 2,000 vaccines donated by the Tagum Agricultural Development Company (TADECO).

The Health Services Section of the DPPF headed by Dr. and CTSSupt. Susan C. Urgel administered the booster shots, it said.

It added that by March 31, all the donated booster shots would have been given to the PDLs in DPPF.

Records of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) showed that as of March 24, a total of 41,015 of the 48,749 PDLs in its seven prison facilities had been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
