86% of BuCor’s PDLs fully vaccinated

Eighty-six percent of all persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in the seven prison facilities of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

In a statement, BuCor said that as of March 24, a total of 42,015 of the 48,749 PDLs nationwide had received their anti-Covid doses.

At the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City, a total of 24,277 had been vaccinated; the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City, 3,257; Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) in Occidental Mindoro, 2,369; San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City, 1,570; Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) in Palawan, 1,829; Leyte Regional Prison (LRP), in Abuyog, Leyte, 2,027; and in Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) and its CIW in Davao del Norte, 6,131 and 555, respectively.

BuCor also said that 6,390 PDLs had received their Covid-19 booster shots.
