PAO hopes to move in to its new QC building to accommodate more people with legal needs

The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) expressed hope it can move in to its new offices on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City by 2023 to accommodate more people, particularly the poor and the underprivileged who seek legal assistance.
PAO Chief Persida V. Rueda Acosta lamented that the building where PAO is currently housed in Quezon City “is cramped with limited space.”
She said the new PAO offices on Commonwealth Avenue is accessible to the public particularly once the Light Rail Transit (LRT) extension is completed.
The new building will house the PAO’s central offices and its regional offices for the National Capital Region, Region IV-A, MIMAROPA, and CALABARZON, she added.
Acosta, who visited the construction site last Tuesday, March 22, said the first phase of the construction work will be finished in July with the second phase by the last quarter of next year.
“Inip na inip na po ang ating mga kliyente at ating mga abogado na lumipat dito (PAO clients and lawyers are anxious to move in to the new building),” Acosta said in her Facebook page.
