Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos has a practical advice for the people asking about what his father--the late former strongman president Ferdinand Marcos--did during his administration.
Bongbong, in his interview Monday, March 21 during the “Kandidatalks: Negosyo, Trabaho at Kalusugan” series of Go Negosyo, acknowledged the many questions that Filipinos have about his dad and how they spark lively discussion on social media.
(A lot of people are asking about my father...they say, 'The other side said this. We know that's their propaganda. And you say this, which we know is also your propaganda. So what really happened)," he said.
I tell them, 'Based on what I know, this is what happened and there reasons why my father or the people in government did it are this and that)," noted the UniTeam member.
And then Bongbong says he gives this piece of advice to those interested enough to learn about his late father.
Ama ko yan eh, syempre kakampi ko siya (But I always end the conversation like this and tell them, 'Don't listen solely to me because I have my own agenda too. That's my father, of course we're on the same side)."
The survey frontrunner added: "Mag-aral kayo, mag-research kayo nang mabuti, andaming library dyan...nasa Internet na yan. Balikan ninyo yung mga dyaryo noon, balikan ninyo yung mga nagsusulat noon (Study and research thoroughly, there are a lot of libraries out there...that's all on the Internet. Refer to old newspapers and the writers back then)."
Go see what really happened so that you can study it thoroughly). And that's the advantage of the Internet," Bongbong said.
