
Fifty-seven percent or 27,879 of the 48,576 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in the seven prison facilities of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of today, March 14.
In a statement, BuCor said that at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City fully vaccinated are 10,115 PDLs; Correctional institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City, 3,283; Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) in Occidental Mindoro, 2,369; San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City, 1,570; Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) in Palawan, 1,829; Leyte Regional Prison (LRP) in Abuyog, Leyte, 2,027; and Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) in Davao del Norte, 6,131 and its CIW, 555.
A total of 19,345 had received their first dose against Covid, it said.
Those who had received their first dose at the NBP were 18,177 PDLs; CIW, 12; SPPF, three; SRPPF, 164; IPPF, 873; and DPPF, 116.
Also, BuCor said a total of 6,245 PDLs had received their booster shot. They included 1,324 PDLs at NBP; 3,007, CIW; 535, SPPF; 771, LRP; and 698, DPPF.
