2 foreigners arrested for 'kidnapping' compatriots in Paranaque City -- NBI

Two Chinese nationals have been arrested in Paranaque City for allegedly kidnapping their compatriots, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said.
Those arrested last Feb. 8 by agents of the NBI’s National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) were identified as Bao Zheng Xin and Lin Guo Dong.
In a statement, the NBI said that seized from the two suspects were firearms and ammunition.
It said that the certification secured from the Philippine National Police (PNP) showed that “Subjects are not licensed or registered firearm holder nor authorized to possess any kind of firearm and ammunition.”
“Subjects transported and detained the victims in Unit 30 Bayview Gardens Home 2 in Tambo, Paranaque City, and Crown Tower in Makati City where they were mauled and beaten, threatened to be killed, and extorted ransom for their release,” it also said.
It added that those arrested were presented before the City Prosecutor’s Office, Paranaque City on charges of violations of the firearms and ammunition law, and other pertinent laws.
