NBI rescues 6 women from bar 'engaged in sex trafficking' in Gallego, Camarines Sur

Six women have been rescued by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) from a bar which is allegedly engaged in sex trafficking in Gallego, Camarines Sur.
Also arrested during the operations conducted by the NBI’s Naga District Office (NBI-NADO) last Feb. 9 was identified as Annalyn V. Perez, who the NBI said, received the “bar fine” (money paid for sex trade) from its undercover agent.
The NBI identified the establishment as “Mamalet Bar” located in Tumangkok, Gallego town.
“Subject Perez will be charged with violation of Republic Act No. 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003) as amended by RA 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2021),” it added.
After receiving an information, the NBI its operatives “proceeded to the target bar to conduct an entrapment and rescue operation.”
