BBM top presidential pick in Pulse Asia survey


Former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. emerged as the top pick among the presidential candidates in the 2022 elections, based on a non-commissioned Pulse Asia survey conducted from Jan. 19 to 24.

The survey results released by Pulse Asia on Sunday, Feb. 13, found 60 percent of Filipinos expressed support for the presidential bid of Marcos in the 2022 polls.

Support for Marcos was highest among those in Mindanao with 66 percent.

Sixty-one percent and 56 percent of those in Visayas and Balance Luzon, respectively, also expressed their support for Marcos.

Coming at second place was Vice President Leni Robredo with 16 percent of voter preference.

Nineteen percent of the respondents of Visayas and also 19 percent in Balance Luzon also expressed support for Robredo's presidential bid.

Meanwhile, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Franciso "Isko Moreno" Domagoso tied at third place, each with eight percent of the voter preference.

Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson came in fourth with four percent of the respondents.

The other candidates include Faisal Mangondato (0.3 percent), Ernie Abella (0.05 percent), and Leody De Guzman (0.02 percent).
