ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Darul Iftas of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan declared on Sunday night that Eid’l Fitr will be held on Monday, March 31.

The two religious groups conducted moonsighting activities and sighted the crescent moon.
“They have performed the aforesaid assignment, and finally, as a result, the Moon crescent has been sighted. In consonance therewith, the Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta declares that the Eid’l Fitr will be tomorrow, Monday, the 1st of Shawwal 1446 AH, corresponding to the 31st day of March 2025. In Shaa Allah,” the Bangsamoro official announcement said.
Separate announcements on Eid’l Fitr were issued by Sheikh Abdulrauf Guialani and Grand Mufti Abdulbaki Abubakar.
Eid’l Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as the culmination of a month-long fasting period, one of the five pillars of Islam.
