Escudero tops Manila Bulletin-Tangere senatorial survey

Former senator and Sorsogon Gov. Francis "Chiz" Escudero took the top spot in the latest nationwide online survey conducted by Tangere in partnership with the Manila Bulletin from Jan. 26 to 29.

The survey results released on Wednesday, Feb. 2, showed Escudero at the top of the senatorial race with 63.21 percent.

Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo was in second place with 59.96 percent of the voter preference.

Senators Sherwin "Win" Gatchalian and Joel Villanueva placed third and fourth with 56.79 percent and 56.75 percent, respectively.

Rounding up the top 12 preferred senatorial candidates are as follows:

Former senator and Antique Rep. Loren Legarda -- 53.38 percent

Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano -- 47.96 percent

Former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar -- 42.88 percent

Senator Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri -- 40.25 percent

Former Defense Secretary Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro -- 36 percent

Senator Risa Hontiveros -- 34.83 percent

Former Presidential spokersperson Harry Roque -- 34.04 percent

Former Philippine National Police chief Guillermo Eleazar -- 33.42 percent

The survey had a total of 2,400 respondents where each respondent was allowed to name up to 12 senatorial candidates for the 2022 elections.
