Cheap eats and a new dining destination await
As soon as the holidays are over, comes our new scary pandemic chapter. Omicron has been the topic of many conversations, compound illness "flurona" is introduced, and many are stuck again in their homes. Our life since the start of the pandemic has been a constant push and pull. What remains the same, at least, is our relationship with food and the people we share it with. Whether you are braving the outside to experience alfresco dining or trying to recreate the best food moments at home, this 2022, let’s continue to celebrate the bonding power of good food. And if you’re looking for ways to do that or just to get inspired, here are some food stories you need to know.

Cheers to everyday blessings, pri!
Every single day is worth celebrating, and that’s exactly what Ginebra San Miguel Inc.’s Primera Light Brandy reminded us with their newest campaign that aims to remind every kumpare or Pri through “Salamats, Pri”—a catchy, feel-good, and down-to-earth anthem—to always look on the bright side and celebrate all the little big wins in our lives. The musical production was performed live on set by Primera Light ambassadors, Matteo Guidicelli and Albert Nicolas, along with their mga bagong Pri, Japeth Aguilar, L.A. Tenorio, Ashley Rivera, and a whole ensemble of characters, each one celebrating a unique slice of life that we ought to be thankful for.

Chef Raymond Yeung and his special Peking Duck
A new Cantonese dining destination
Clark Marriott recently launched the first Wu Xing restaurant in the Philippines, bringing authentic Peking Duck to Clark Freeport Zone. The restaurant is helmed by award-winning, new-generation chef Raymond Yeung, who has 30 years of experience in Chinese cuisine with Cantonese as his specialty. Yeung is an expert in merging complex flavors, combining traditional and modern, east and west tastes into various dishes, thanks to his rich experience in the diverse world of modern Chinese cuisine. He paid extraordinary attention to detail in developing the menu for Wu Xing, traveling across China to draw from the best regional styles. “Traditional Chinese cuisine was developed through almost 500 years of Chinese history. At Wu Xing, we follow the Beijing style of preparing and cooking our Peking Duck using Clark Marriott’s specialized equipment,” Yeung says.
Wu Xing is now open at Clark Marriot, Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga. For inquiries and table reservations, visit its official Facebook page Wu Xing by Clark Marriott.
