Another NBP escapee slain during manhunt

Two of the three persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) who escaped from the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City at about 1 a.m. today, Jan. 17, have been killed during separate encounters with the police and personnel of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

Killed at about 6 p.m. today, Jan. 17, was Arwin Villeza Bio, 35 years old, who fought out it with the pursuing government forces, BuCor said.

First to be killed was Pacifico Villaruz Adlawan.

The remaining escapee who is still subject of massive manhunt is Drakilou Y. Falcon.

“The safety of the public is of paramount concern and BuCor authorities will not stop until the last escapee is accounted for in order to ensure that the escapee will not be able to inflict harm again,” said BuCor Deputy Director General Gabriel P. Chaclag.

Adlawan, 49, was a native of San Agustin, Tandag City in Surigao Del Sur and had been convicted of frustrated homicide and use of dangerous drugs.

Bio was from Javier, Leyte and had been convicted of murder and attempted murder, while Falcon hails from Libasqua, San Miguel, Surigao Del Sur and had been convicted of robbery with homicide.
