LTO extending validity of expiring licenses and permits to March 2022

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is taking the recent rise in active COVID-19 cases into consideration when it comes to renewing licenses and permits due to expire in the coming months.

In response, the LTO has announced that they have extended the validity of driver's licenses, student permits, and conductor's licenses that are set to expire this January, February, and March.

Those with licenses and permits that will expire this January can still use them until March 31, 2022. Meanwhile, permits and licenses that are due to expire in February will still be valid until April 30, 2022. Last but not least, those that have licenses and permits that will expire in March will be happy to know that they can still use them until May 31, 2022.

Aside from extending the validity of licenses and permits, the LTO also said that they have also extended the validity of medical certificates that will expire in January, February, and March. That way, those that plan to renew will not need to get another certificate.

With the pandemic still affecting the country, the LTO advises those that plan to renew their licenses or permits to follow the minimum health and safety protocols when they visit their nearest LTO office.
