DOJ reduces to 30% total onsite workforce in its main offices in Manila starting Jan. 10

Starting Monday, Jan. 10, only 30 percent of the total personnel of the Department of Justice (DOJ) in its main offices on Padre Faura Street in Ermita, Manila will report physically for work.
“With clearance from the Executive Secretary, I have reduced the onsite workforce at the DOJ main offices from 60% to 30% effective Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, till 15 Jan. 2022 or as may be further necessary,” Justice Secretary Menardo I. Guevarra said on Sunday, Jan. 9.
“Work-from-home and online conduct of official transactions shall be the primary mode of rendering service during this period,” Guevarra said.
He advised DOJ personnel who have been exposed to persons tested positive for COVID-19 “to isolate themselves immediately and seek such medical care as necessary.”
“Many DOJ employees will get their booster shots this month,” he said.
The DOJ offices had been disinfected “and we will continue to do so regularly,” he added.
As of last Jan. 6, the DOJ has 35 active cases of COVID-19. Twenty-one of the cases are at the DOJ main offices, one in Region 1, six in Region III, and seven in Region IV.
A total of 6,106 DOJ officials and employees had been vaccinated as of last Jan. 6.
Of those vaccinated, 770 were from the DOJ main offices; 1,030 in the National Capital Region; 418 in Region I; 289 in Region II; 462 in Region III; 712 in Region IV; 400 in Region V; 326 in Region VI; 486 in Region VII; 234 in Region VIII; 173 in Region IX; 221 in Region X; 201 in Region XI; 149 in Region XII; 152 in Region XIII; and 83 in Region XIV.
