Korean singer CL is Johnnie Walker's latest ambassador

Premium Scotch whiskey Johnnie Walker has a new ambassador and that is South Korean music artist CL. The "Alpha" singer stars in the brand's #KeepWalking campaign since June this year as it launched the Johnnie and Lime whiskey.

"Mabuhay, Philippines! This is CL, the first Walker for Johnnie Walker. From solo night caps or weekend catch ups with friends, make sure to savor every moment with a Johnie and Lime Highball," the rapper says.

Giving a subtle tangy kick, the new whiskey merges the iconic smooth and smokey taste everyone loves with the citrus flavor of lime. The Johnnie and Lime definitely brings to the table a refreshing twist to the highball experience.

CL is famously known among Filipinos as a former member and leader of the K-Pop girl group 2NE1 with the fellow singers Minzy, Park Bom, and the Philippines' darling Sandara Park. After going solo, CL continued to produce music, releasing the music video for "Post Up" in 2020. The track is part of her album "Alpha," which will debut in October this year.

"Sometimes, life can be tough, but what is important is you're doing what you care about. That's why we #KeepWalking," she says.

"This campaign with CL is aimed at appealing to consumers looking for brands that sympathize with their values, beliefs, and tastes," the brand says. "We expect it to be an inspiration campaign for many through various and powerful digital video content on online and offline channels."
