Foodies who missed dining out will surely be glad to know that their favorite Asian food hangout spots in Manila and other food establishments are now open for dine-in.

Alfresco dining at Chinatown Walk

Starting Sept. 16, 2021, restaurants at Lucky Chinatown are now open for indoors or alfresco dining. As a bonus, vaccinated individuals may also present their cards to get discounts, freebies, and other dining deals at the many restaurants and dining establishments in the mall.

Craving for comfort food? Lucky Chinatown’s Asian cuisines got your back. Shi Lin (GF) serves an array of dim sum and Cantonese servings, specializing in fresh, handmade dumplings, buns, and noodles. A must-try is their Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings, best partnered with soy sauce, vinegar, or Shi Lin’s very own chili oil.

King Chef

For those who want the familiar savory flavor of Asian seafood dishes, King Chef (2F) serves authentic Cantonese cuisine made from the freshest ingredients and finest flavors. For the rainy days ahead, a bowl of their King’s Style Seafood Congee will feel like a hug. They are open from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Diners can contact them at t8728-8823 / 0932-323-1871.

San Guo La Mien

Speaking of cold ‘ber’ months ahead, grab a steamy bowl of authentic Chinese noodles at San Guo La Mien (GF). This restaurant is known for bringing the art of noodle-making from China’s Lan Zhou province to Binondo, serving all-natural hand-pulled noodles entirely made with flour, egg, and salt. Pair their famed traditional noodles with steamed ku tsai and beef dumplings at their alfresco area and you’re good to go. Diners can visit them from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. For reservations, contact 8256-3518.

Fudao Sate Noodles (Chinatown Walk) is also a Binondo gem you shouldn’t miss. Fudao operates from Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For those who prefer some Japanese delight, Ramen Kuroda (3F) is the place to go. After all, who could resist their handmade noodles and rich broth? Diners who want to take the heat a notch higher though, their Spicy Aka Ramen features a mix of tonkotsu broth and home-made noodles, with a mild spicy taste. Drop by from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m or call 8241-8157 for reservations.

When it comes to comfort food, Sincerity Café and Restaurant (GF) is a classic. Established in 1956, their crowd favorite is their timeless crispy-tender fried chicken, which is hailed as one of the best chickens in Metro Manila. Other Chinese comfort food picks are their oyster cake, cuapao, patatim and the Eight Treasure Machang. Sincerity is open from Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. They can be reached through 8516-7088.
